I needed to take another route than the one that my fate was dictating. Simply, studying a career I did not like was not fulfilling. In my thoughts echoed those options that teenagers to face in this stage of their life, work first to save money to study later. Well, I was about to take one of these options and make it part of my life. Soon I reacted and discarded it. They were not for me. There had to be a better opportunity to study what I loved.
This is when I heard about Building Baja’s Future. I felt like my concerns were falling slowly from that slope in front of me. I felt really calmed. I put all my effort into the selection process. I was certain that I would be elected. When I heard I was selected, I could not be happier. Today I can say that BBF has become more than just a scholarship, it has become a part of me and I am happy for that. I cannot describe the gratitude I feel for having given me this valuable opportunity. I can only compare it with the gratification you feel when someone is thirsty and is given a glass of water. I am so grateful to all the founders of Baja’s Future Building, for creating this new way of life for young people like us. They say that everything that occurs in this life is received at the other, and I’m sure you guys receive wings from heaven made to your taste and measure. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to be in your hands, thanks for being our companions on this journey. Thanks for leaving a mark on our destiny.
Yo necesitaba tomar otro camino diferente al que me dictaba mi incierto destino. Simplemente el estudiar una carrera que no me gustaba no me llenaba. En mis pensamientos ya hacían eco aquellas opciones tan trilladas que toma cualquier adolescente al enfrentarse a esta etapa de su vida. Estudiar y trabajar. Tomarme un año para solo trabajar y así ahorrar para poder estudiar en la universidad que yo quería. No estudiar y quedarse con solo la preparatoria. En fin yo estaba a punto de tomar una de estas opciones y hacerla parte de mi vida. Pronto reaccione y las descartarte. No eran para mí. Tenía que haber algo, una oportunidad para que yo pudiera estudiar lo que me gustaba. Estaba llegando al borde de aquella pendiente. Me estaba quedando ya sin opciones y todo apuntaba a una sola dirección…
Pero fue ahí donde la noticia de que existencia BuildingBaja´sFuture llego a mis oídos. Sentí como mis preocupaciones fueron cayendo lentamente de aquella pendiente en vez de mí. Me sentí tranquilo en realidad. Puse todo mi empeño en el proceso de selección. Tenía la firme certeza de que iba a ser elegido.El tiempo pareció detenerse para deleitar aquella exquisita noticia. Me habían elegido y no podía estar más feliz. Hoy puedo decir que BuildingBaja´sFuture se ha convertido en algo más que una beca, se ha convertido en una parte de mí y me alegra de que así sea. No puedo describir el agradecimiento que siento por haberme dado esta valiosa oportunidad. Solo se me ocurre compararlo con la gratificación que siente un sediento cuando alguien tiene la atención de darle un vaso con agua.Estoy tan agradecido con todos los fundadores de BuildingBaja´sFuture, por haber creado esta nueva forma de vida para jóvenes como nosotros. Dicen que todo lo que se da en esta vida se recibe en la otra, y yo estoy seguro que a ustedes les mandaran alas hechas a su gusto y medida. Gracias por darnos la oportunidad de estar en sus manos, gracias por ser nuestros acompañantes en este camino. Gracias por dejar huella en nuestro destino.
